Bullguard Review – Is it Worth the Price?

Bullguard is a solid security suite that covers all essentials. It’s not as robust however it is an excellent option for those who want to get the most value from their antivirus software. It’s also extremely efficient and avoids heavy load on the system while offering various options to ease it whenever needed.

The program opens to a modular hub program that features a tiled layout for its various modules, such as antivirus, firewall, PC tune up, game booster and home network scanner. The “Vulnerabilities section will alert you to problems like missing Windows updates autostart service, open ports. The “Game Booster” is a function that optimizes your computer automatically when you play, is useful for gamers.

In our tests, the bullguard was pretty effective at preventing malware infections, and was fairly lightweight in terms of system resources when compared to other products in terms of CPU use. However we did observe that the background processes of the antivirus took up a considerable amount of RAM, especially when the system has limited memory. On a high-resolution screen the hub app appeared as if it was pixelated.

Bullguard includes a mobile security feature with its Premium Protection subscription, which provides antitheft protection, parental control and basic backup capabilities for your tablet or smartphone. Despite this, the app is a bit basic and doesn’t have important features like security for your webcam or shredders for files. The only way to get support via phone is via live chat or email.
